The Story
The Empirical Soul is a progressive metal journey into the life, mind, and mythos of Carl Gustav Jung. Through 15 genre-bending tracks, this concept album merges melody and philosophy, weaving piano, folk, and metal with spoken quotes and lyrics drawn from Jung’s own writings. Each song explores a chapter of his life or a cornerstone of analytical psychology: the split with Freud, the descent into the Red Book, the birth of archetypes, the search for wholeness, and the final confrontation with the divine.
The sound is a cerebral storm — melodic guitars clash with soaring choruses, whispered dreams, and moments of brutal clarity. With lyrics in English, German, and Latin, The Empirical Soul is both an auditory biography and an existential ritual. This is not just music — it is shadow work through sound.
